Nevada is at a tipping point. Thousands of families are living one crisis away from eviction, and while affordable housing remains years from catching up, the need to prevent homelessness is immediate and growing. At HopeLink, we don’t just believe in long-term solutions—we deliver short-term impact every single day. That’s why we’re seeking visionary partners to help us build the infrastructure behind the impact. 

Our most urgent funding priorities are twofold: (1) investing in next-generation information technologies to streamline access and accountability, and (2) building strategic capital reserves to ensure HopeLink’s mission remains resilient despite unpredictable reductions in federal, state, and local funding.

These investments are not administrative luxuries—they are mission-critical infrastructure that directly protects thousands of Nevada families from homelessness.

In 2024, HopeLink delivered over 5,500 rental payments totaling $7.4 million directly to landlords and property managers—stopping evictions, keeping families housed, and providing a financial lifeline to our region’s property owners.

• In over 90% of cases, we prevent homelessness for under $4,000 per household—and less than 1%of those served fall back into crisis. This is one of the most cost-effective interventions in public health and housing.
• Meanwhile, according to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, more than 80,000 Nevada householdsspend over 50% of their income on rent, putting them at daily risk of eviction.
• Doing nothing is far more expensive. A 2017 Help Hope Home study showed that homelessness costs the community over $73,000 per person annually—now more than $93,000 adjusted for inflation.

HopeLink has already built the digital infrastructure to move fast: our virtual application portal is streamlined, scalable, and ready to go as soon as funds are available.

But to respond quickly and consistently in the future, we must be equipped with capital flexibility and modern systems. Your investment makes that possible.

We believe the path forward for Nevada is a three-part strategy:

1. Services for those already unhoused
2. Prevention for those on the brink
3. Expansion of affordable housing inventory
