Family Resource Center
HopeLink is one of five state funded Family Resource Centers serving Southern Nevada with jurisdiction covering Henderson, South East Las Vegas, and Boulder City. Our Family Resource Center (FRC) case managers assist families and individuals in crisis with emergency food assistance, bus passes for work or medical appointments, Nevada IDs or birth certificates and referrals for assistance from hundreds of community resources including mental health, legal assistance, low cost medical clinics and many other areas of need. HopeLink also funds and hosts community events including Back2School, Thanksgiving meals and Candy Cane Kids over the holidays.

CareerLink
The CareerLink program assists unemployed and underemployed clients from agency programs through a career readiness protocol to help determine best job fit to aptitude, completing applications, resume and interviewing skills. Matching clients with available jobs, many now offered through agency employment partners, applicants are guided through the process with help from partner HR departments. Once hired and equipped with uniforms or appropriate work attire, clients meet with our team of volunteer financial guidance experts to learn how to manage and budget their incomes and expenses.

Diversion
The goal of HopeLink’s Diversion Program literally is to divert families and individuals away from the experience of homelessness to other solutions. Using creative problem-solving conversations and non-conventional solutions, specially trained case managers seek to keep people out of the system before they are forced into it.
The HopeLink Diversion program is sponsored in part by:

Emergency Shelter
HopeLink provides emergency shelter through hotel/motel vouchers for locations around Clark County. This program is designed for families and individuals who are not appropriate for mass shelters and must be referred by another agency. All case managers can use this resource for qualified clients once trained in agency placement protocols.

HUD and CCHIP Rapid Rehousing
Our HUD and Clark County Housing Intervention Programs (CCHIP) are Rapid Rehousing Programs assisting families experiencing homelessness and referred from our community queue. Most of these families are fleeing either domestic violence and/or sexual exploitation circumstances, and all have dependent children. The CCHIP program also provides family reunification for families working in partnership with Child Protective Services. A wide continuum of services is available to these families as they strive to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient.

Rent and Utility Assistance
HopeLink provides rent and utility assistance to Clark County residents. To qualify for these assistance programs, clients must have experienced an unexpected change of circumstance including a job loss, medical crisis, or another unexpected emergency. HopeLink provides rental assistance through a multitude of federal, state and local grants as well as from supplemental crisis funding when the community is in need. Each grant has specific qualifications that must be met in order to qualify for assistance. HopeLink case managers are trained to assess client eligibility, depending on the grant criteria.

Southern Nevada Outreach
HopeLink maintains staffed outreach sites throughout Las Vegas and Henderson enabling us to expand our services to several underserved communities of Southern Nevada. HopeLink partners with places of worship and low-income property apartments as many people who are in need visit or reside at these places for assistance. HopeLink case managers visit these sites weekly to assess the needs of families and individuals referred to HopeLink by site staff. HopeLink brings both its Family Resource Center services as well as rent and utility assistance to the outreach sites to better serve the needs of underserved populations in the greater Southern Nevada community.

WRAP Around Services
HopeLink case managers receive referrals from schools and other community agencies for families who may be at risk of DFS intervention due to factors including homelessness, truancy or hunger. HopeLink case managers bring all the resources from our Family Resource Center to help families find resolutions including temporary shelter, food, transportation and case management strategies to help divert families from entering the child welfare system. WRAP Around case managers will continue working with families once they have overcome the initial crises, to ensure they are stable enough to not fall back into the same situations which once jeopardized preservation of their family.

YouthLink
Thanks to the Lincoln Dynamic Foundation and other generous donors, HopeLink youth are served year-round with scholarships for seasonal extracurricular activities, Back to School supplies, holiday gifts from our CandyCane Kids store and via other events and services throughout the year. A full 42% of our clients are children of low income families in underserved areas of Southern Nevada.
Families with children interested in participating in the YouthLink program must live within the Henderson and Boulder City area, or one of the several zip codes HopeLink serves in Las Vegas, including 89122, 89183 and 89123.
