HopeWeek

week of giving event

HopeWeek is our annual week of giving event that includes various events to thank and provide additional resources to the community, while encouraging charitable investments for our continued work.

HopeWeek 2022 kicked off with a Stories of Hope showcase at Taverna Costera during First Friday. “Stories of Hope” is HopeLink’s first published book which features the work HopeLink does as told by former clients, staff, volunteers and community members. One story featured in the book is Chris Mahon, Taverna Costera’s executive chef, who used HopeLink services when COVID-19 decimated the hospitality industry.

Next,  HopeLink staff, volunteers, board members and more set up shop at six Smith’s Food and Drugs around the valley for Neighbor Day, encouraging the community to purchase high need household items for HopeLink clients. Shoppers did not disappoint, buying and donating items such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, cleaning products and more to support HopeLink’s housing program and the 250+ families currently enrolled.

The week concluded with Jammin’ 4 Hope at Fremont Country Club featuring performances by Nieve Malandra, The Soul Juice Band, Chicks Who Rock, Franky Perez, and a post-show jam session led by Roni Lee and Billy Burnette (the brother of HopeLink board member John Burnette!).

We were also lucky enough to be Evel Pie’s November Charity of the Month, and $1 of every HopeLink Fall Sausage and Cider Marinated Mushroom specialty slice was donated to us. Thank you to everyone who made HopeWeek 2022 a success and we’ll see you in 2023!

November 1st - 6th

HopeWeek has always been a special and exciting time for HopeLink, raising our community visibility and saying thanks to our supporters and partners from the past couple of years. In addition to giving thanks and encouraging community giving, HopeWeek will also feature Neighbor Day as a community resource fair for the Valley View neighborhood in Henderson.
