Prevent Homelessness. Preserve Families. Provide Hope.

HopeWeek 2023

Our annual week of giving, HopeWeek, is scheduled from November 2nd through November 9th and we couldn’t be more excited! This year, we have some new initiatives that everyone can get involved in.

HopeWeek Eve, Wednesday, November 1:

Katheryn Phillips, Donor Relations Manager, will announce our fun and interactive digital campaign, “Sleep for Hope.” Be sure to tune into your social media accounts (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter) for challenge instructions. Katheryn will personally lead the challenge on the first night and the last night of the campaign will occur on Wednesday, November 8, leaving Wednesday night participants waking up on Thursday., November 9 to conclude the challenge. Results will be announced on Friday, November 10.

Thursday, November 2:

Ryan Henson, Supervisor, Administration and Employment Services, is hosting the CareerLink Job Fair at The Crossing Midtown, located at 3535 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89102 from 10 am – 2 pm. The job fair is open to the community, and we invite you to come out and meet some of our employer partners. CareerLink works diligently to help HopeLink Clients find employment. Three clients secured jobs in the past month, and they are on their way to financial stability.

Monday, November 6:

We will also be announcing a very special donation presentation to one of our HopeLink families in the morning.

Tuesday, November 7:

RDI Corporation is sponsoring our first Hope-A-Thon. They are one of our employer partners, and love helping HopeLink whenever they can. Jonathan Sprik, Culture Director, not only introduced us to Manizza’s Pizza (awesome pizza) when he treated HopeLink staff at one of the Global Leadership conferences, but he has presented at a couple of our events with the latest being our Milestone Achievement Ceremony in May. Shannon Bailey, Engagement Manager, has said many times, “Let us know if you need anything!”  She volunteered for us at our Back To School Bash in July at The Dollar Loan Center and her bubbly energy is always welcome!

We will be setting up our very own call center after work hours at our Midtown HopeLink office. HopeLink volunteers, along with select RDI volunteers, will be making calls to hopefully raise unrestrictive funds to support HopeLink clients who need additional assistance for their families. This can include bus passes for employment or medical appointments, clothing for children, specialized school supplies, hygiene products, cleaning products, household items, food, etc.

If your phone rings, please pick up so we can say, ”Hi.”

November 9:

Dawnette Fike, Community Engagement Specialist, has some special plans to announce and thank a few of our high-end donors.

Our main goal is to raise awareness of the ever present need to prevent homelessness, preserve families, and provide hope. We thank everyone who has ever supported HopeLink by donating, volunteering, spreading the word, and encouraging us to forge ahead with our mission. Your abundance of generosity is remarkable and is lifechanging!
